The Sherwood Taipei, the classic five-star hotel that once hosted the stay of numerous world-renowned artists and dignitaries including the former Prime Minister of the U.K. - Lady Thatcher, and the esteemed politician and activist of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, has closed down on February 15th, 2022. The Sherwood Taipei has made its symbolic and irreplaceable status in Taipei over the years through its outstanding achievements in the fields of hospitality as well as culinary arts. Its philosophy to present a "home away from home" to each and every visitor has made it a must-visit hotel for the domestic as well as international guests all around the world.

The Sherwood Taipei now officially ventures into the Metaverse to preserve its classic "Sherwood" spirit. The first wave of activities will be the unveiling of limited-edition NFTs inspired by The Sherwood Taipei guestrooms on September 29th. With the concept of 360° "Circle", the 360-degree complete experience integration of online and offline(O2O), and virtual reality allows the experience to be even more authentic with The Sherwood Taipei guestrooms, also representing the rebirth of the classics and harmony.
